Green Town, Lahore School
Closed Due to Financial Constraints
ABC school in Green Town, Lahore is located in the middle of a community of families that cannot or will not keep education for their children as a top priority due to lack of financial resources. Most parents and guardians work as domestic helpers, sweepers, and cleaners or on daily wages in surrounding industries. The community is grateful to ABC for providing educational opportunities to their children. This school is being run in a rented building and when possible, it would be desirable to have ABC’s own school building. Close to 100 children study in this school.
This school was being run up to grade 8 but in an ideal situation it should be only up to grade level 5 and when students complete their levels here, they should be moved to the boarding school in Machike. Due to lack of funds, space and facilities in the boarding school, ABC Pakistan had to accommodate these students in their current school.
