Jaranwala School

Jaranwala School

ABC school in Jaranwala is located in the outskirts of the main city serving several villages and communities located in reachable distance. Children, from two communities, which are at a longer distance, are provided transportation since parents cannot afford to bear such an expense. Parents and guardians of the children are mostly employed at brick kilns, factories and in farmlands at very low wages. In most cases there is no job security and when work load is less, many are left jobless. Many families borrow money from their bosses to meet family needs and continue to live debt ridden life constantly. ABC wants to change this pattern of life for the coming generations through education. ABC has been operating this school for many years and children that came in as elementary school students are close to completing high school. These students will be given an opportunity to receive formal or vocational education so they can compete in the job market for decent jobs and earnings. ABC Pakistan wants to continue doing the same for all other deserving children that have joined the school or will in future. There are over 320 students in this school.

Currently this school is being run up to grade 10 but in an ideal situation, ABC would like to keep this school to grade level 8 and when students complete their levels here, they should be moved to the boarding school in Machike. Due to lack of funds, space and facilities in the boarding school, ABC Pakistan had to accommodate these students in their current school. As the situation improves, Jaranwala School will roll back to grade level 8.

Many of the children are in need of personal sponsors and we encourage you to become a sponsor to make a lasting difference in the lives of these precious children.
