Rawalpindi School
Closed Due to Financial Constraints
ABC school in Rawalpind is located right behind a community of wealthy businessmen, beaurocrats, government officials and diplomats. As you pass this posh stretch of bungalows and enter the community where ABC school is situated, you can see a vast contrast between the people that have too much and those who are struggling to survive. Most of the guardians and parents of the children in ABC school work as domestic helpers in these bungalows or sweepers and cleaners on the streets or offices with very low wages. Education is the only way out from this deprived life for next generation and that is what ABC wants to give to these children through this school. Over 200 children study in this school.
This school was being run up to grade level 7 but in an ideal situation, ABC should have been up to grade level 5 and when students complete their levels here, they should be moved to the boarding school in Machike. Due to lack of funds, space and facilities in the boarding school, ABC Pakistan had to accommodate these students in their current school.
