Chak 96 R/B School
ABC school in 96 R/B is located in the middle of the village serving families that are financially deprived and have placed schooling of their children as a low priority. Most parents and guardians work in carpet industries, brick kilns, in the fields of landlords and in factories at low wages. Family needs and emergencies force parents to take credit from their bosses and in time become deeply indebted to them. These debts force parents to even send their children to work for the wealthy in order to bring down their debt. It took a lot of convincing to show them that the only way out of this vicious circle for their next generations is through education. This school serves two other surrounding villages as well. There are students from this school who had moved to Machike boarding school and have now completed high school. With a little more vocational or formal college education they will be able to find good jobs. There are over 180 students in this school and the grade levels are from 1 to 8.
In order to provide all the needs of the children and to keep up with the operating expenses of the school, ABC desperately needs individual sponsors for all the school children in Chak 96 R/B Day School.
