Martinpur School

Martinpur School

ABC school in Martinpur is located in the middle of a community of families that cannot afford to send their children to school. Most parents and guardians work for brick kilns, in the fields of landlords, factories, and laborers on construction sites. With such jobs, they earn very little and in most cases are under debt. Under such circumstances, education for children becomes a low priority and children are forced to follow in the footsteps of their parents and never seem to get out of such adverse situation. ABC School has provided a ray of hope for these children and with a proper education, they will be able to get good jobs and lead their families and community out of this undesirable and poverty stricken life. This school is being run in a rented building and when possible, it would be favorable to have ABC’s own school building. Close to 250 students reap the benefits of this school.

Currently, this school is being run up to grade 8 but in an ideal situation, ABC would like to keep this school to grade level 5 and when students complete their levels here, they would be moved to the boarding school in Machike. Due to lack of funds, space and facilities in the boarding school, ABC Pakistan had to accommodate these students in their current school. As the situation improves, Martinpur Day School will roll back to grade level 5.

In order to provide all the needs of the children and to keep up with the operating expenses of the school, ABC desperately needs individual sponsors for all the school children in Martinpur Day School.
